Abhinav Bindra Detailed Biography -
Abhinav Bindra was born on September 28, 1982 at Dehra Dun, India. Abhinav Bindra belongs to Punjabi Khatri family. His father Dr. Apjit and mother Babli Bindra are promoters of the Hitech Group of companies. He studied at the Doon School, Dehradun up to the 8th standard and then left for St. Stephens School, Chandigarh to pursue shooting. He earned his BBA from the University of Colorado.
He took his shooting training in Germany. He practised for 12 to14 hours a day at the shooting range that he owns at his farmhouse near Chandigarh.
Abhinav's first coach Lt. Col. J.S. Dhillon has marked first his talent. At the 2000 Olympic Games, Abhinav Bindra was the youngest Indian participant. He scored 590 and ranked 11th in the qualification round but did not qualify for the finals since only the top 8 compete in the finals.
Abhinav Bindra holds an M.B.A (Masters in Business Administration) from the University of Colorado, US. He is the CEO of Abhinav Futuristics.
