Overwiew :A lovely young society lady, Lily Bart (Gillian Anderson), who seeks a well-to-do husband of her same social caste finds herself falling in love with the seductive Lawrence Selden (Eric Stolz). Facing rejection from her friends and family, Lily tries desperately to reverse this tragic turn of events. Based on the classic novel by Edith Wharton, director Terence Davies does a superb job of adapting HOUSE OF MIRTH to the screen.
