A lot of the movie felt contrived as incoherent, sometimes just plain silly (even sillier than "Hairspray", and that's saying a lot)...but, the songs and vocals were excellent. Pierce Brosnan has a sincere, Leonard Cohen-style to his voice, and of course Merryl Streep was superb.
If any one wants to pass time relaxing as well as in jovial mood going to the theaters to watch the movie will be the best option. In the true sense it soothes our mind in the midst of tension and worries of day to day living.
what an amazing movie! this is one movie in which we found nearly everyone in the audience were singing along and also,we found many of them smiling and singing while leaving the theater. it is a light hearted movie- if you want to only enjoy a movie, you must go for it. the music and acting and the cast were excellent.
