Kelsey Grammer: Suffers from massive heart attack
Famous television star Kelsey Grammer, who is best known for programs like ‘Cheers’ and sitcom “ Frasier” has suffered from major heart attack last month. The news has been revealed by the actor himself while giving interview to the reporters of a popular news channel.
Details about Kelsey Grammer’s health have been inferred from multiple sources. According to them, he felt chest pains while paddle-boarding with his wife in Hawaii, where they have a second home. Immediately he was admitted to hospital, where he was found to have suffered a heart attack.
When enquired about Grammer, his spokesman namely Stan Rosenfield said that it was a mild heart attack. However he declined to give further details about his condition as well as about his medical treatment.
However Kelsey Grammer said that the heart attack was not actually mild at all and he nearly would have died since his heart stopped.
"They had to blast me twice and get me started all over again," added Grammar during an interview at the news program that is scheduled to be broadcasted on Thursday evening.
Further he said,"I did think: 'Oh gosh, I have got to hang on. I've got too much junk I've got to take care of. I've got to take care of the family."'
Kelsey Grammer, who stars with Kevin Costner in the political comedy titled "Swing Vote" that opens August 1, did not hide his true feelings. He said that he felt "like somebody was actually trying to tear my chest apart with, like, the jaws of life."
The heart attack of Kelsey Grammer occurred after 3 weeks when he learned that the Fox network was canceling his sitcom "Back to You," in which he played a pompous, womanizing TV news anchor opposite to Patricia Heaton. The series lasted only for a season.
"Obviously you play the hand you're dealt, and it has been a very interesting hand lately; it has been tough," added Grammer.
Kelsey Grammer gained popularity due to his portrayal of the snooty but lovable psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane for twenty years on NBC. Apart from this he has caught attention of audiences for his acting in the comedy hit "Cheers" and also for Emmy-winning spinoff series "Frasier."
Grammer also lends his voice of the recurring character Sideshow Bob on the Fox cartoon series titled "The Simpsons."
