Brad Pitt: Gives threat of undertaking legal action
Brad Pitt, the famous Hollywood actor, is not at all happy these days. On Thursday, the lawyers for Brad Pitt have threatened to undertake legal action against anyone who publishes recent photographs of the actor and his newly enlarged family at their French estate. The photographs were taken by paparazzi.
More information about Brad Pitt has been grabbed from quite a number of sources. Pictures of Pitt and his family in France were "surreptitiously" snapped by using a powerful telephoto lens. Afterwards the pictures were sold to an unidentified buyer. This information has been flashed by the Los Angeles lawyers in a letter which later got published in a popular website of United States.
However the lawyers of Brad Pitt declined to mention the names of the family members who were actually present in the pictures.
Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie, the mother of his children, have reportedly sold exclusive picture rights to the first photographs of their newborn twins to a U.S. publication for 11 million dollars. They have decided to donate the money to some charitable organization.
The legal warning came a week after Jolie left the hospital in Nice with twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, who were born on July 12. The family has rented a villa in nearby Provence.
The lawyer of Brad Pitt, Yael Holtkamp too was available for comments. He said that the snaps were a "malicious violation" of the privacy rights of the actor under both French and California law.
He further said that one unspecified photo agency that already sold the pictures has agreed to stop further selling and also removed them from its official web site.
The web sites of quite a few celebrities too have removed those pictures of Brad Pitt and his family on Thursday.
A popular website which publishes legal documents and arrest warrants of celebrities, also has published the letter sent to it by Brad Pitt's lawyers. In fact the lawyers have also threatened to take legal action against the web site if it posts the photos. However, according to a representative, the website has never purchased any photo from paparazzi in its eleven year old history.
