Amy Winehouse: Wax statue unveils at Madame Tussauds
On Wednesday Madame Tussauds has unveiled a waxwork of Amy Winehouse including her signature beehive, black eyeliner and a bright yellow mini dress.
Sources have thrown more light on Amy Winehouse’s news. Her hair and 5-inch black heels make the model almost six feet tall. The wax dress of Winehouse resembles one that the singer wore during BRIT music awards ceremony in the year 2007, where she has won the title of best female solo artist.
Not only that , Amy’s sailor-inspired tattoos are beautifully reproduced, including a lightening bolt, horseshoe and pinup girls on her arms.
Although twenty four year old Amy Winehouse was absent, her parents namely Mitch and Janis Winehouse, have attended the unveiling ceremony. Her father said she was working and would see the waxwork in the next few weeks.
"This is the reward for her musical achievements and her talent," added Mitch Winehouse.
Tussauds has made a model of Winehouse for the first time. In this way her wax model will find a place in the museum along with other celebrities like Madonna and Justin Timberlake.
Amy Winehouse has become an international star since she released the Grammy-winning album titles "Back to Black" in the year 2006. But her musical career has been overshadowed by turmoil in her personal life viz. drug use, her run-ins with the law and her turbulent relationship with husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
