A R Rahman: Bags two Oscars
Inidan music composer, A R Rahman has made a history by becoming the first Indian to win two Academy Awards this Sunday. He has already won four National Film Awards, seven Hindi Filmfare Awards, twelve Tamil Filmfare Awards as well as the BAFTA Award, Golden Globe, Critics' Choice Award and Satellite Award for his work.
A R Rahman has worked in British filmmaker Danny Boyle's much acclaimed "Slumdog Millionaire".
A R Rahman won his first Oscar for best original score for the Mumbai based rags-to-riches drama.
Rahman won the second Oscar for best original song for the film's theme number "Jai Ho" with famous Indian lyricist Gulzar.
After receiving the second Oscar, A R Rahman said, "All my life I had a choice between hate and love. I chose love and I am here".
