 Detective Olivia Benson is back.
American actress Mariska Hargitay, who is best known for her role as Detective Olivia Benson on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", has returned to the set after taking a three-week break to recover from a partially collapsed lung.
Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Mariska first underwent a surgery in January after suffering a partially collapsed lung and returned to work later that month. She was hospitalized again on March 3.
The 44 year old Mariska Hargitay was back at work on Monday just days after promising she would return to film the final four episodes of the hit cop show's latest season.
Costar Christopher Meloni was thrilled to be rejoined by his fictitious partner. He said that he is even planning to get her a little "welcome back" gift.
Meloni said, "She's doing great and we're happy to have her back".
