Barbra Streisand: Tops Billboard album chart again
American singer Barbra Streisand has regained the top spot in the Billboard album chart on Wednesday.
Streisand drew a stunning victory to claim the top spot with her album "Love Is the Answer" among the hevy-weight female artists competing for Number One.
According to Columbia Records label, a unit of Sony Corporation, Streisand's "Love Is the Answer" sold 180,000 copies in its first week. The album is her first studio recording in four years. The album made her the only artist in America to have a #1 album in each of the last five decades.
The 67 year old Streisand said in a statement, "You'd think that getting the news that you've been Number One in five consecutive decades would make you feel old, but this makes me feel young".
The singer last topped the chart in 1997, when "Higher Ground" started off with 207,000 copies.
Pop-rock band Paramore landed at No. 2 with sales of 175,000 for "Brand New Eyes".
