Michael Irvin and Mark Dacascos eliminated from 'Dancing'
American football player Michael Irvin and actor Mark Dacascos were eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" on Tuesday.
It is unfortunate because Irvin along with his partner Anna Demidova was steadily improving as the weeks went on. The former football star failed to capture enough viewer votes to stay in the competition. He thanked his fans and Anna.
On the other hand, Mark Dacoscos and his partner Lacey Schwimmer lost a dance-off competition against singer Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff.
Judges' scores are combined with viewer votes to determine which contestants are eliminated each week.
After elimination, Irvin said, "Last night was a great night, and to see the audience here standing up, it's their way of saying they appreciate the hard work".
Irvin's partner Anna Demidova said that she loved working with the former football star.
Dacascos said, "It's one of the greatest experiences of my life. It's certainly much harder than it looks on television. The bond you create with the pro dancers, my dancer, the other celebrities, it's really special".
Also on the results show, rock legend Rod Stewart, country singer Colbie Caillat and Ballas Hough performed.
Next Monday the remaining contenders will dance for a place in the semi-finals.
