 Elton John: Leaves hospital
British singer and songwriter Elton John has been released from hospital on Thursday after being treated for a serious type of e-coli and flu that forced him to cancel a string of concerts.
John stayed nearly a week in hospital in Windsor in the UK.
Gary Farrow, a spokesman for Elton John, said that the singer planned to resume his suspended tour and would play scheduled U.S. dates with Billy Joel starting in Oakland, California on November 14.
The 62 year old John was forced to postpone several gigs in Britain, Ireland and the U.S. over the last few days.
